In just one week the Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) has reached over 25% of its $1 million fundraising goal for the month of June, having raised $257,200 (including matching funds).
The public phase of the Park’s Imagine a Place fundraising campaign launched on June 1st with the announcement of the 30-Day Million Dollar Challenge. The Challenge spans the month of June, during which time all gifts will be matched by two anonymous donors dollar-for-dollar up to a maximum of $500,000, for a total 30-day fundraising goal of $1 million.
“The response from the community has been absolutely remarkable,” said Margaret Redmond, APC President & CEO. “It’s obvious how much Assiniboine Park means to Manitobans and I’d encourage everyone to make their gift this month to help us reach our million dollar goal.”
Gifts to the Imagine a Place Campaign can be made in a variety of ways, including:
- Pledging a one-time or monthly gift:
a. Online
b. By phone at (204) 927-8080
c. Or, in person at the APC Pavilion office at Assiniboine Park or its location at 401-1661 Portage Ave. - Holding a Party for the Park and donating the proceeds to the Imagine a Place Campaign (ex. Birthday party, cocktail party etc.)
The Imagine a Place Campaign, including the 30-Day Million Dollar Challenge, is in support of APC’s $200 million redevelopment plan to revitalize the Park and Zoo. The overall Campaign currently stands at $111 million raised.
